Bending Process Step-by-Step
Step 1: Plate Feeding
The metal plate is inserted between the lower rolls and the pinch roll, which grips the leading edge.
Step 2: Initial Pre-Bending (No Need for Separate Pre-Bending!)
Unlike 3-roll machines, the 4-roll design uses the pinch roll to bend the plate's edge in a single pass, eliminating flat spots.
Step 3: Progressive Rolling
The plate advances while the main upper roll presses down, gradually curving it into the desired radius.
The pinch roll adjusts dynamically to maintain consistent curvature.
Step 4: Completion & Unloading
Once the full circle or cone is formed, the rolls reverse to release the finished product.
